Twisted Chromeo

pdf epub
Armed with a backpack Set to detonate City streets beckon Pull the wire and die
One last prayer whispered at noon A song of shrapnel—sung out loud
Nails and screws watch guts and rusted car parts Lime and staples, pens, bolts and silverware Rings, chain-links, metal buttons and zippers Bike spokes, barbed-wire and battery acid
A passion for death like the love-struck Romeo These are the guts of the twisted chromeo
Corkscrews, sheet metal, drill bits and paper clips Razor blades, glass, ball bearings and bottle caps Radio antennae, cogs, rivets and keys Door hinges, pipe cleaner, salt, sand and padlocks
Martyrdom calling two-fisted blows Cutting down lives with the twisted chromeo
Belt buckles, brick chips, triple A’s and money clips Coins, gears and quartz rocks, bracelets and lighters Jacks, steel washers and circuitry switches Ratchets and sockets, springs, needles and tacks
White eyes in panic terror-stricken they blow Down like weeds in the wake of the twisted chromeo
