Click + Add Effect to log a new trick. Click any card or row to view details, edit, or delete. Use the search bar and filters to find what you need quickly.
Mark your favorites with the ★ star — useful for highlighting workers you reach for constantly. Toggle EDC (Every Day Carry) for pocket tricks that travel with you. Both have quick filters in the toolbar.
Set each effect to Performance Ready, Needs Practice, or Bottom Drawer. Quick filters let you pull up just the items you can perform tonight, or the projects waiting for woodshedding.
Tag effects with any keywords you want — coin, mentalism, restaurant, kids show, cards, packet — separated by commas. Search will find them.
Toggle between midnight library (☾) and aged parchment (☀) using the moon/sun button in the top-right corner. Your preference is remembered.
Export JSON saves a complete backup including all images — use this for backups and for moving your collection between computers or browsers. CSV exports a spreadsheet-friendly version (without images) you can open in Excel, Numbers, or Google Sheets — perfect for insurance documentation, printed inventory lists, or sorting and analysis.
Click ⇧ Import and choose your format. JSON imports are exact restores from another ledger backup. CSV imports work with any spreadsheet — the ledger auto-matches your column names to its fields (e.g. "Trick Name" → Name, "Cost" → Price Paid) and shows you a preview screen where you can adjust the mapping before importing. Great for bringing in an existing collection you've been tracking elsewhere. Note: CSV imports don't include images.
Click 🖶 Print for a quick compact list of your current view, or options to choose between a compact table or detailed cards with photos. The print output respects whatever search, filter, and sort you've currently got active — so filter to "Performance Ready" and print a gig sheet, or filter to a manufacturer and print just those entries. You can turn financials off for sheets you don't want others to see, and add a custom title at the top. In the print dialog, choose "Save as PDF" if you don't need paper.
Export regularly. The Export button saves your entire collection (including all images) as a JSON file. Treat that file as your real archive — store it somewhere safe like a backup drive or cloud folder.
Import lets you restore from a JSON file, or merge a friend's exported collection with your own.
Nothing leaves your computer. No accounts, no servers, no telemetry. This file works completely offline once downloaded.
Feel free to share this HTML file with other magicians — each person gets their own private collection stored in their own browser.
The small ⇩ download icon in the toolbar lets you save this ledger as a file on your computer — handy if you're accessing it via a link and want a local copy. Open the saved file anytime, even without internet. Remember: your collection data lives in the browser, not inside the file itself, so always use Export JSON to back up your collection separately.
