Nyx - Box 2

Nyx - Box 2

In ancient Greek stories, Nyx is the physical personification and goddess of the night. She is a primordial deity (protogenos) who emerged at the dawn of creation directly out of Chaos.

I collect playing cards, this box held quite a few. Made with scrap plywood and cherry stain. I built this one with a 'lip' on the inside so that it would close tightly.

Box gifted to Jose, manager of Zabar's coffee shop - who always provided me a cup just how I like it - black as night.
