Betrayer Moon - Box 22

Betrayer Moon - box XXII

The folklore surrounding a Betrayer Moon (more commonly known as a Blue Moon) centers heavily on the concepts of disruption, trickery, and rare magic. Because a Blue Moon is an "extra" full moon that does not fit into the standard 12-month calendar, ancient cultures viewed it with suspicion and wonder.

I love this box because it has a very unusual wood grain or glue pattern running across the length of it. And the scorching revealed what appears to be hazy clouds obscuring the moon slightly.

Not gifted at this time. It holds tarot cards, pipe tobacco and guitar strings.
